Welcome to Iguana! Iguana is a global
illumination rendering engine that runs on Windows and Red Hat Linux, it's
multithreaded, and it's for Maya. It's not a plugin, it's a standalone
renderer (but it can be set off from Maya). It reads Maya scenes
directly, without any translation at all. It's terribly simple to use.
And it's free - yes, my darlings, free...
New with v.
1.1.5: support for HDRI maps and image based lighting, along with some bug fixes of course.
Coming with
1.2 (soon): general optimizations and great speed
improvements, along with a better integration with Maya - and compiled
for Maya 6.0, if it will be out...
You are all invited to download
it, use it and
abuse it in any way you like. I would also appreciate your feedback,
comments, and any kind of suggestions. Please feel free to send me your
own renders, so I can put them in the gallery. Come on, people, get
in...
